one letter at a time

How it works.

Each month centers on a grief theme. Members submit letters, one is chosen, and it's sent to the whole community — a shared witness to love, memory, and the after.

    Receive the monthly letter

Once a month, one submitted letter is chosen and sent to members by email — a shared reminder that you are not the only one living in the after.

Scrapbook style portrait of two people

your grief deserves to be witnessed

Grief can feel lonely, even when you’re surrounded by people.

The After Letters is a soft space for the words grief leaves behind. You can write to the person you lost, the version of you before, or the part of you still trying to understand what happened.

Every month, a grief prompt is sent to members and members submit their own stories.

Your first letter can be messy. Tender. Angry. Funny. Sacred. Unfinished.
